At a business seminar I attended recently, the seminar leader said, “Who here is afraid to ask for the money from your customers?”

More than half the people in the room raised their hands. He went on to explore why so many people in business – even up to high-priced lawyers and accountants – get nervous when it comes time to talk money.
At some level, many of us feel like we’re not really worth what we’re charging. And that hidden (or not so hidden) insecurity can cause us to get nervous when it comes time to ask for the money.

If that describes you, too, it’s important to think about your real worth, and the real value that people get when they enjoy something you used your creativity and skill to create. Remember that every time someone puts on a piece of yours, they are reminded of its beauty and it makes them feel more beautiful, too.

And that, my friends, is priceless.
